First one...

Sun Dec 5, 2004, 7:24 AM
Mood: Meditative / Reflective Thoughtful
Listening to: U2 - I still haven't found what I'm looking for
Reading: Arthur C. Clarke - The Fountains of Paradise

Ok, well, it took a little more than I previously told you (as usual ;)) but here they come. My new scans.

Here's the first one, a nice sunset from Porto, Corsica.

I took it last year, and it took me some 16 months to scan it and post it... Not bad ... :D

Anyway, I will be away from 10th to 18th, I'll be in Austria for a short holiday. Will have some fun, eat a lot, rest even more, and hopefully take some good photographs.

thanks for the comment!

you really have an eye for nature photography, great gallery!

I see you have an F70 - so do I, I'm going through a hate/love-relationship with that camera... There are some things I really like (bright viewfinder, metering with old lenses, no shutter lag etc) and then some things I hate about it (no X sync contact, counter-intuitive control lay-out).
Yeah. Well, the things I miss more are the lack of mirror lock-up, a dof preview button (sure, you can have the same effect with a trick, that is, by slightly unblocking the lens and rotating it, the diaphragm closes to the selected aperture) and the fact that it's not possible to select the aperture via dialing (and thus preventing the use of aperture-ring-less lenses)...

Other than that, it's an amazing camera for the price... :)

Thanks for the friends listing.
You have a beautiful gallery.
Cheers
Hi Franz!
You got me drooling with lens-envy, but still, with all of it's faults, the Olympus IS an amazing camera. I don't know if all manufacturers support this feature, but I can upgrade the camera's firmware from Olympus' web site, but that isn't the most coolest, I can also upgrade the lens' firmware, too! Lens options would be nice (cheap lens options would be even better), but I'll not be trading any time soon. Nice try! Wanna bet that the lens in question won't be mine in the next three months? (Don't take THAT bet!)
Thanks for the exchange of information and the nice chat.
Have a great DAy!!!! Rob the Swash
